Naples is perfect for any kind of vacation, whether you’re enjoying a romantic getaway with that special someone or bringing your family to the beach. Naples has become an increasingly popular destination for families, so if you’re considering Florida for your next vacation, here are some amazing family-friendly things to see and do in Naples.

Visit Venetian Village

If your family is like most, no vacation is complete without spending an entire day shopping, enjoying tasty treats, and people watching. Venetian Village is a family-friendly beachfront center that offers shopping and dining right on the water. There are dozens of shops and boutiques to peruse, including Lux Boutique, and you can often do so without even stepping inside. Dining is incredible at Venetian Village, whether you want a rich meal at T-Michaels Steak or a lighter meal at Fish Restaurant. You can even settle in at Black Letter Coffee and Cafe just to get off your feet and take in the sights.

Enjoy a Day at Tigertail Beach Park

There is no shortage of beaches in the Naples, Florida area, but kids especially love Tigertail Beach Park. You’ll find it on Marco Island, which is Naples’ sister city and the largest of Floriday’s Ten Thousand Islands. The beaches on Marco Island are considered some of the best in the world, but there’s so much more to see and do. For example, you can climb the birdwatching tower and look out over the lagoon, rent a watercraft and float around, or simply relax in the sun while your kids play at the playground or collect shells along the sand.

Head to Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON)

The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (which also uses the cute and compelling acronym CMON) is an incredible experience for kids of all ages! There are a dozen family-friendly exhibits and hours’ worth of interactive things to do. If your kids have ever wanted to see what it’s like to sit in an igloo, climb a massive tree, or help animals as a veterinarian, this museum is the place to be. Naples is a beautiful beach city, but rainy days can and often do occur. Rather than staying in your hotel, head to the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples. It’s fun for adults and kids alike.

Head to the Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary

The Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is about 30 minutes east of Naples in the heart of the Everglades. Bring your walking shoes and/or stroller and hike the famous 2.25-mile Corkscrew Boardwalk, where you’ll see the sheer breadth of the ecosystem. The boardwalk takes you through prairies, marshes, and even pine flatwoods all within the span of an hour. You’ll finish the journey by peering into the biggest old-growth cypress forest anywhere in North America. Bring your binoculars, too! You’re likely to spot deer, turtles, alligators, and everyone’s favorite - the otters.

Naples may be known for its luxury resorts, fine dining, and even exciting nightlife, but it’s also a perfect destination for families with kids of all ages. Naples offers everything from hands-on activities to sightseeing tours and more, and it’s all within 30 minutes or less of downtown.
