Lux Boutique’s Generous Vendors Make it Possible to Provide Everyday Essentials for Those in Need

Hurricane Ian took a toll on much of the Florida peninsula, and the Naples area was one of the hardest hit. Hundreds of thousands of people along the coast were without power for weeks, and many people lost everything. It can be difficult to recover from a major natural disaster, but when small businesses pull together, there’s no limit to their generosity. Here’s how Lux Boutique’s vendors pulled together to make some of the locals’ lives easier in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.

Clothing Donations

Clothing is a necessity that many people take for granted. We can open our closet doors, look through the hundreds of beautiful pieces hanging on the rack, and still exclaim we have nothing to wear. For the Naples area hurricane victims, that sentiment was all too true. Homes were flooded or washed away into the sea, which left thousands of people with nothing but the very clothes on their backs. Lux Boutique’s generous vendors changed that for many locals. Some of the gracious companies who made the donations possible include:

  • Solei Sea - Solei Sea is a local Florida business that sells flip-flops and sandals ranging from everyday casual to glamorous. They donated several boxes of flip-flops to be given to people who lost everything.
  • Helen Jon - Helen Jon is a popular name in designer swimsuits and resort wear. The company sent seven full boxes of clothing from their Kansas City headquarters to hand out to women and families in need.
  • Sailor Sailor - Sailor Sailor’s unique nautical style and luxurious fabric selection makes them a popular choice for resort wear. They sent two boxes of comfortable clothing to add to the donations.
  • Hale Bob - Hale Bob Apparel is headquartered in Los Angeles, and they take a modern, fashion-forward approach to women’s style. They generously donated 25 dresses for Hurricane Ian victims in the Naples, Florida area.
  • Jag Jeans - Jag Jeans is known for its wide range of jeans, pants, and shorts in every color and style imaginable - and in sizes ranging from petite to plus. They donated 50 pairs of shorts for local women in need.

Bath & Beauty Donations

While clothing and shoes are vital for comfort, bath and body products are requirements. Unfortunately, after a natural disaster, they can be difficult to come by. Three of Lux Boutique’s vendors donated items to help people in need. They are:

  • TRVL Design - TRVL Design donated 40 cosmetics bags to Lux Boutique to be distributed among Naples-area residents who lost their homes in the hurricane. TRVL is a wholesale provider of clothing, accessories, and handbags that are popular in waterfront boutiques and specialty stores nationwide.
  • Spartina 449 - Spartina 449 is based in South Carolina, and they are known in their local community for giving back. They supplied 24 cosmetics bags with bottles for Hurricane Ian victims to help them regain some normalcy and comfort.
  • Naples Soap Company - Finally, Naples Soap Company is a rapidly-growing provider of soaps and other bath and beauty products. As part of their commitment to their local community, they donated numerous boxes of items of all kinds to be donated alongside clothing, shoes, and more.

Naples-area businesses continue to come together to provide relief for those who need it most. From offering free meals to heavily discounting their services, it just goes to show that even in the face of heartache and loss, communities can pull together and take care of one another in numerous ways.
